Assistant Director, Business Career Center

Katie brings a passion for helping others to her role as the Assistant Director of the Business Career Center. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Loras College and her master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education at Marquette University. Katie supports the Accounting Internship Early Recruitment Program and Career Fairs, as well as the mentor program. She also collaborates with college partners and employers specifically within the areas of accounting, finance, real estate, human resources, entrepreneurship, and international business.  Katie is happy to meet with students and alumni to discuss resume and cover letter writing, interview skills, job and internship search, and career goals.

She brings highly aligned career services and employer relations experience to the Business Career Center, previously working as a Career Development Specialist at Mount Mary University. Her graduate work in higher education included community engagement work with the Center for Community Service at Marquette, career services at MSOE, and student involvement at UW-Milwaukee. In addition, Katie has completed her Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) certification training through the National Career Development Association and Salary Negotiation Facilitator Training through the American Association of University Women.
