We are committed to providing the best comprehensive oral health care to our patients in a “patient-centered” environment, whether it is at our main clinic site or in any outreach site that our students and faculty provide care.  We are also committed to providing our students with an integrated, patient-based dental education that focuses on clinical excellence and reflects current knowledge, research and practice of dentistry.

  • Dr. Vrisiis Kofina, Assistant Professor and Program Director of Graduate program in Periodontics, has been awarded the Bud and Linda Tarrson Fellowship by the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation. The fellowship is a $30,000 award ($10,000 per year, for up to 3 years) for periodontists who show great potential for research and leadership.

  • Dr. Shivam Mehta, Clinical Assistant Professor in Orthodontics, has received first prize at a prestigious international conference, the Association of Orthodontists (Singapore) Congress (AOSC). Featuring the best in the field of orthodontics, the 2021 AOSC Scientific Poster Competition saw 19 presenters.

  • Eleni Langas, Class of 2022, received first place at the Student Competition for Advancing Dental Research and its Application (SCADA) sponsored by Dentsply Sirona and the American Association of Dental Research (AADR). The research was titled "Influence of Scanning Speed, Tip Size and Pattern On Intraoral Scan Accuracy".

  • Marquette virtually showcased the 2021 Alumni National Award recipients during Celebration Week (May 24 – 28), including a special virtual ceremony honoring recipients of the All-University Awards. (Read more)

  • Mitchell Piacsek, Class of 2023, is the recipient of the 2021 Ralph Phillips Student Research Award. This competitive student award from the Academy of Operative Dentistry will provide funds for Mr. Piacsek to carry out a research project entitled “Pulpal stem cells differentiation and dentin formation mediated by plant biopolymers” and present the results as a Clinic Table at the 2022 Annual Meetings of the Academy in Chicago in February 2022.
