Employee Resource Groups

The Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion supports several Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that actively engage the campus and Milwaukee-area communities. As envisioned in Marquette’s strategic planning theme, A Culture of Inclusion, the primary objectives of ERGs are to promote a sense of community, build personal and professional networks, enhance employee support and retention, and assist in attracting new employees to Marquette to foster a diverse and inclusive community. Each ERG has a direct link to a liaison on the University Leadership Council. While the ERG model is based on common background or interest, in the spirit of inclusivity, any employee can join any ERG. Students are not eligible to become members of ERGs; however, there may be opportunities for student organizations and ERGs to collaborate on or co-sponsor programming.

Below you will find information about our current ERGs. If you have questions about ERGs or have an idea for a new ERG, please contact Jacki Black, director for Hispanic initiatives and diversity & inclusion educational programming.

Hispanic/Latinx Faculty and Staff Association

The Hispanic/Latinx Faculty and Staff Association is dedicated to the advancement and contributions of the Hispanic/Latinx community at Marquette University. We are committed to the Catholic, Jesuit value of inclusiveness and support the success of Hispanic/Latinx students, staff, and faculty. We do this by serving as a campus resource and raising awareness of Hispanic/Latinx issues and needs. We support efforts to enhance and sustain representation of Hispanic/Latinx faculty and staff on decision-making bodies. We promote the richness of the Hispanic/Latinx culture and help strategize ways to increase inclusion and interaction among the different cultures represented by Marquette’s faculty and staff.
