The LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group works to build a supportive and affirming atmosphere for LGBTQ+ staff and faculty at Marquette University. Our group organizes social and educational events for Marquette faculty and staff, who identify as LGTBQ+ or as allies.
University Leadership Council Liaison
Dr. Xavier Cole began his tenure at Marquette in 2016 as the vice president for student affairs. Prior to Marquette, Cole served as vice president for student affairs and dean of students at Washington College, a small liberal arts institution in Chestertown, Md. Before Washington College, Cole served the Division of Student Development at Loyola University Maryland for 20 years in roles of increasing responsibility, leaving in 2014 as assistant vice president. He is excited to support and help support the LGBTQ+ ERG in building community!

-Monthly ERG meetings during the academic year
-Promote educational opportunities/resources with our members continuously throughout the year.
-Collaborate with LGTBQ+ student leaders and the Director of LGBTQ+ Resource Center to offer mutual support between both populations of faculty/staff and students.
-Develop inclusive initiatives that draw awareness to our ERG and the LGBTQ+ community on campus.
