iOS Mail app

These instructions are for iOS devices — iPhone or iPad.

Does your iOS device have a network connection?

Make sure you have an active network connection by browsing the web with the Safari app. If you are on campus and using MU Secure, Safari will prompt you to enter your Marquette username and password. Please do so to establish a wireless connection. If Safari can browse web pages, you have a network connection and you may continue.

Set up your Office 365 Mail account

  1. Locate your Mail icon and tap it.

  2. The "Welcome to Mail" screen appears.

  3. Tap Microsoft Exchange.

  4. Enter your email address as (example:

  6. In the upper right, tap Next. Your iPhone or iPad will prompt you for either Configure Manually or Sign In. Tap Sign In.

  7. You will see a password prompt with the Marquette University logo. Enter your password and tap Sign In.

  8. The Mail app will verify your email address and password. If you entered your information correctly, you will be prompted to select which items you want to access from your iOS device: Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders and Notes. Mail is chosen by default. Select others as you like.

  9. In the upper right, tap Save.

  10. Your Marquette inbox appear and your email messages will load shortly.

    Note: Your recent Marquette email will sync. If you have not received any email recently, no messages will appear in your Inbox. Try sending an email to yourself to have a message in your Inbox.

    You're done!
