Sociology Degree Requirements

Sociology Major
A Sociology consists of 30 credit hours including 5 required courses:
- SOCI 1001: Principles of Sociology
- SOCI 2060: Social Statistics
- SOCI 3000: Sociological Theory
- SOCI 3050: Methods of Social Research
- SOCI 4997: Capstone Seminar
Electives
Students also need to take five electives from a variety of Social and Cultural Sciences courses offered by our full-time and part time faculty. Credits received by participating in the Interdisciplinary Internship Program can be used toward the degree as one of the elective courses.
