What does it mean to be human? What constitutes a life well lived? How can we use our capacities for thought and freedom to make things better? Our student and faculty programs seek to address these perennial questions. We hope you’ll join us by embarking on the journey of self-discovery and growth that only the humanities can offer.

We can support faculty grant writing during the summer of 2022 in advance of final GRC team proposal submissions to HWW in November 2022. For the CfAH Coffeehouse on Wednesday, March 9th from 5:00-7:00pm, we invited undergraduate students and faculty to gather in the CfAH office to discuss the war in Ukraine, through the lenses of history, literature, philosophy, language, and theology. We unpacked how we can understand what’s going on there, integrating art and architecture into the discussion. Influences such as social media responses were considered. We analyzed Zelinsky’s amazing viral videos versus Putin’s picture at the long table of Emptiness. We just got together to talk about what is going on. Food and beverages were provided. Keep an eye out for the next CfAH Coffeehouse coming soon!
The CfAH's office has been newly updated with furniture and amenities to encourage meetings among students to talk, study, or just enjoy the space. The space now features a couch and chairs, as well as a Keurig coffeemaker and games. Feel free to stop by and take a look at our updated space.
