Director of Student Success and Recruitment

Melissa Econom is the Director of Student Success and Recruitment for the Diederich College. She earned a bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master's of education in student affairs in higher education at Marquette University.

Melissa was a 2021 - 2022 member of the Faculty Exploring Leadership Opportunities (FELOS) program. She currently serves as the Vice Chair of University Staff Senate, and is a committee representative on Innovation Council, Wellness Committee, and Diversity Advocates. Outside of Marquette, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, leading two Girl Scout troops, and serving on the Milwaukee River Keepers Marketing and Finance Committee.
