Each On Your Marq student is supported in a variety of ways. Graduate coaches provide OYM students with targeted support in the areas of executive functioning, academic skills, and social and professional navigation. OYM students also work with an undergraduate peer mentor to assist in the successful transition to college social life.
Emily Raclaw, MS, LPC
Emily is honored to be the director of On Your Marq. She is a lifelong Milwaukee resident and brings 15 years of disability in education expertise to the program. She has presented at several conferences and trained other college success programs on the topics of disability as diversity, neurodiversity, and programming.
Prior to coming to Marquette, Emily has taught high school special education, worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor, and coordinated a college success program for students with disabilities. She is an expert in program creation and development, as well as a disability advocate and professional. She is also a licensed professional counselor and utilizes those skills to ensure On Your Marq considers the whole student. Outside of work she spends time with her son, husband, and dogs. She is an avid traveler, and loves to share her travel tips.
She is excited to serve On Your Marq students and staff, coming alongside them in their individual journeys.
Raven, Aussiedoodle
Raven is an Aussiedoodle from Iowa's Doodle Company. She was born February 19th 2021. Emily and Raven are a certified therapy dog team. She can be found following Emily around or getting snuggles and pets from our students. She enjoys a good game of hallway fetch, and treats! She brings so much comfort and joy to our students.
