Each U.S. university that enrolls F-1 students has Designated School Officials (or DSOs), who are responsible for updating the SEVIS system and advising students about the F-1 regulations. Within OIE, our advisers who are also DSOs, specialize in assisting students from specific geographic regions or with special tasks.
