Living Learning Communities Applications Now Available

Are you interested in living with folks who share common interest and values? Marquette offers several special housing options that bring together students with common majors or common interests, both with and without required courses that are a hallmark of the living/learning logo

Nuestro Hogar: This community seeks to create a space for the Latinx student body to come together and form a community. Nuestro Hogar intends to be an inclusive and welcoming environment for all those who value the Latinx community, culture, and identity.  The community is comprised of first- and second-year students living together on a floor in Straz Tower. Save the Date: Greater Than Onehousing

Greater Than One is a program by the Residence Hall Association celebrating the diversity of our campus population. This year, the theme will focus on turning passion into action and will feature a variety of student, faculty, and community speakers. Keep an eye out for tables in the AMU and residence halls the week leading up to the event, where we will be taking photos to display in Weasler!

Spring Break Closing Information

All residence halls except HUMPHREY HALL and CARPENTER TOWER will be closed for Spring Break (March 7-15). The halls close at noon on Saturday, March 7th and re-open at 8 a.m. on Sunday, March 15th. Only those students who are permanent residents of HUMPHREY HALL and CARPENTER TOWER may stay in the building over break.

Those students who are staying in Humphrey Hall or Carpenter Tower for any portion of Spring Break must notify your residence hall director of the dates that you will be staying in the hall. Please note: the extended opening of these buildings is meant to accommodate students who are unable to return home and not to provide single overnight stays to students visiting Milwaukee. 


Attend an information session on Summer Studies, Feb.17

The Center for Digital Learning will host an information session for students interested in taking summer courses on Monday, Feb. 17, at 4 p.m. in the AMU, Room 157.

Students will learn about the benefits of taking summer courses, as well as key points about registration, housing and financial aid considerations.

Snacks, giveaways and refreshments will be provided. All are welcome. Learn more at


Summer Studies course registration opens Tuesday, Feb. 18.

Marquette’s six-week accelerated Summer Studies program offers more than 1,000 options, including more than 50 online courses. Registration for summer classes opens Feb. 18, for undergraduate and graduate courses ranging from core required classes to international experiences (please note, registration for Law School and Dental School summer classes opens later, March 26, 2020.)

Summer Studies offers:

  • The ability to add credits in a short period of time, shortening your time to degree
  • The opportunity to satisfy program or Core Curriculum requirements
  • The flexibility of online coursework
  • The experience of world citizenship through Study Abroad
  • A chance to stay on campus during the summer. (summer housing options)
  • A reduced tuition rate: $750 per credit

Climate Study

This February 2020, Marquette University will conduct its second campus wide climate survey.  We do so in part to honor our commitment that we made to the Marquette community in 2015 when we conducted our first Campus Climate Survey.  Beginning on Monday February 10th, we will open the 2020 Campus Climate Survey to be taken by all students, faculty and staff.  Everyone presently affiliated with Marquette is invited to take a few moments of their time to complete the survey. Under 18 Visitation Reminders

Residents who wish to host any guests under the age of 18 must provide a completed Under 18 Overnight Guest Form, signed by their parent or guardian, to their residence hall director at least three working days before the visit. Contact your Residence Hall Director if you have questions about this process.
